Learning objectives

The global subject objectives in this subject are the following: 

  • Adquirir destreza para la modelización matemática de sistemas y problemas de ingeniería.
  • Conocer las principales técnicas de optimización de problemas y sistemas modelados matemáticamente.
  • Mejorar la capacidad de análisis cuantitativo de problemas y sistemas de la ingeniería.

Teaching method

  • Exercise and problem resolution:  Exercising, rehearsing and to put in practice prior knowledge through routine repetition.
  • Presentation/Master class:  To pass on knowledge and to activate cognitive processes in the students, involving their participation.

Evaluation system

The procedure for evaluation is the following:

  • Para superar la asignatura los estudiantes deberán asistir al menos al 80% de las clases y entregar los ejercicios y trabajos propuestos por los profesores. La evaluación final dependerá del número de ejercicios y trabajos entregados y la calidad de los mismos.
