Learning objectives
- To know the benefits of working with an virtualisable environment and its exploitation on real
- To model and dimension a network system consisting of virtual machines
- To planify and develop a virtualised environment system
- To know the main characteristics of the cloud computing paradigm
- To analyse and prevent security issues involved in cloud computing
- To study the applications of cloud computing in a data center and its most popular platforms
- To learn about the advantages in using the map-reduce programming model

Teaching method
- Exercise and problem resolution: Exercising, rehearsing and putting in practice prior knowledge through routine repetition.
- Presentation/Master class: To pass on knowledge and to activate cognitive processes in the students, involving their participation.
- Problem based learning: Developing active learning strategies through problem solving that promote thinking, experimentation, and decision making in the student.
Evaluation system
- The final grade for the course will be:
(50%) Evaluation of theoretical knowledge through a written exam
(30%) Evaluation of practical (labs), through a written exam
(20%) Attendance at practical classes (labs) and delivery of reports in a timely manner
